I’m one of three boys to my parents Patricia Pirkle and Larry Blount. I grew up with much of my youth spent in Sumter, SC as my father was military and I was one of the first to break the chain. Once my parents went their separate ways, my mom and all of us boys literally picked up and moved to Duluth, GA with my Aunt (on my Dad’s side) Chandra along with my two cousins Chanel and Chade.

I spent my teenage and adult life in Atlanta and have never looked back. I am now a husband and father with a beautiful family that enjoys spending time with them along with my brother and his two girls. The family just keeps on getting bigger and I am loving every moment! (BTW, am I the ONLY one with Kick @$$ in-laws?!)

2012 was the hardest year of my life. We lost my youngest brother, Stefan Van Blount, and my life has FOREVER changed. I miss him dearly and that pain never truly goes away. The one thing though that I can and will embrace is that life is too short and we shouldn’t waste any of it doing things we don’t enjoy doing. That fire has been lit for me and this is a way for me to contribute and give back.
